Article Processing Charges Policy Introduction

Juris Spectrum: International Journal of Law is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to the dissemination of high-quality legal scholarship. To support editorial management, peer review, digital publication, and long-term accessibility of published content, the journal applies a transparent and reasonable Article Processing Charge (APC).

No submission fee or review fee is charged. APC is payable only after the manuscript has been formally accepted following the Double-Blind Peer Review process.

APC Structure

The Article Processing Charges are structured as follows:

For Authors Based in India

  • Standard Publication APC: ₹1200 INR
  • Optional DOI Registration: ₹500 INR
  • Additional Author Fee (for third author only): ₹300 INR

For International Authors

  • Standard Publication APC: $40 USD
  • Optional DOI Registration: $20 USD
  • Additional Author Fee (for third author only): $10 USD

What the APC Covers

The APC supports the following publication-related services:

  • Double-Blind Peer Review management
  • Editorial evaluation and manuscript processing
  • Professional formatting and typesetting
  • Online publication on the journal website
  • Digital archiving and long-term accessibility
  • Issuance of publication certificates
  • Editorial quality control and compliance verification
  • Indexing preparation and metadata registration
  • Website hosting, maintenance, and digital preservation

DOI registration is optional and provided upon payment of the applicable DOI fee.

Authorship Policy and Additional Author Charges

Each manuscript may include a maximum of three authors.

  • The standard APC covers up to two authors.
  • If a third author is included, an additional authorship fee applies as specified above.
  • Requests for more than three authors are considered only in exceptional academic cases, subject to approval by the Editorial Board.

This policy is intended to ensure responsible authorship practices and academic integrity.

Payment Terms

  • APC is payable only after acceptance of the manuscript.
  • Payment must be completed within the timeframe specified in the acceptance communication.
  • Failure to complete payment may result in delay or cancellation of publication.
  • Once published, APC is non-refundable.

Ethical Assurance

Payment of APC does not influence editorial decision-making.

All manuscripts are evaluated solely on:

  • Academic merit
  • Originality
  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Scholarly quality

Payment of APC does not guarantee acceptance of a manuscript.

Limited Discretionary Support

In rare and exceptional circumstances, the Editorial Board may, at its sole discretion, consider partial support or special consideration for authors demonstrating genuine academic merit and need.

Such decisions are discretionary and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
