Introduction

Juris Spectrum: International Journal of Law is a peer-reviewed, open access academic journal dedicated to advancing legal research and scholarly discourse at national and international levels. The journal invites original and unpublished manuscripts that contribute meaningfully to legal scholarship and contemporary legal debates.

Authors are advised to carefully review and comply with the following guidelines prior to submission. Manuscripts that do not adhere to these requirements may be returned without review.

Scope of Submissions

The journal welcomes submissions in diverse areas of law, including but not limited to:

  • Constitutional Law
  • Criminal Law
  • International Law
  • Human Rights Law
  • Corporate and Commercial Law
  • Environmental Law
  • Technology and Cyber Law
  • Comparative and Interdisciplinary Legal Studies

Types of Manuscripts Accepted

Juris Spectrum considers the following categories of submissions:

  • Research Articles
  • Case Comments and Case Notes
  • Legislative and Policy Analyses
  • Book Reviews
  • Scholarly Essays

All submissions must demonstrate originality, analytical depth, and academic rigor.

Originality and Exclusivity

Manuscripts submitted to Juris Spectrum must be:

  • Original and unpublished
  • Not under consideration by any other journal or publication
  • Free from plagiarism and unethical research practices

Authors are required to ensure that their submissions comply with the journal’s plagiarism and publication ethics policies.

Manuscript Structure and Formatting

Structure of the Manuscript

Manuscripts must be arranged in the following order:

  1. Title of the Article
  2. Author Name(s)
  3. Author Affiliation (University/Institution/Organization)
  4. Email Address
  5. ORCID ID (optional but recommended)
  6. Abstract (150–250 words)
  7. Keywords (4–6 keywords)
  8. Main Body of the Article
  9. Conclusion
  10. References / Bibliography (if applicable)
  11. Author Profile (optional)

Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should clearly summarize the research objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusions of the manuscript. Keywords should reflect the core themes of the article and assist in indexing and discoverability.

Citation Style

All sources must be cited through footnotes in accordance with the OSCOLA (Oxford Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities) citation style.

A separate reference list or bibliography is not required.

Exception:

In exceptional cases involving interdisciplinary or empirical research, a reference list may be permitted at the discretion of the Editorial Board.

Author Profile (Optional)

Authors may include a brief Author Profile at the end of the manuscript.
If included, the profile should:

  • Be limited to 50–100 words
  • Contain academic and professional information only
  • Avoid promotional or non-academic content

Language and Style

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear and precise English
  • Authors are responsible for language accuracy and clarity
  • British spelling conventions are preferred

Ethical Compliance

All submissions must comply with established principles of academic integrity and publication ethics. The journal does not tolerate:

  • Plagiarism
  • Data fabrication or falsification
  • Improper authorship practices

Manuscripts violating ethical standards may be rejected at any stage of the review process.

Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process, wherein:

  • The identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential
  • Manuscripts are evaluated solely on scholarly merit
